Supplies

You will need:
Exacto Knife Paint (optional) Glue gun
Fake mini succulents (can be found at Dollar Tree)
Instructions
CAUTION: magnets are very small, not for children
1. Make a hole in the wine cork. See instructions below on how to cut a wine cork.
2. You can leave the wine corks natural or for a pop of color, paint them. For an even line you can wrap painter’s tape around the cork. Be sure to remove the tape immediately
after painting.
3. Use your hot glue gun to attach the small magnets to the back of your cork.
4. Clip a small part of the succulent and glue into the cork.
You can also use real succulents. Fill the tiny planter with soil, and place your succulent clippings inside. Maintenance is easy, just a drop of water every now and again, and your fridge now looks like a living work of art.
How to Cut Wine Corks
1. Bring a pot of water to a boil.
2. Place corks in a steamer pan or metal colander and let them steam for about 15 minutes.
3. Remove the cork with care- it will be hot- and place on a cutting board.
To make a hole in the cork:
Start by using a screwdriver to punch a small hole in the top of the cork. The entry point of the corkscrew makes a great entry point. Use your knife to wiggle and break loose the corking, to about half way through the cork.
To cut a wine cork:
Use a serrated knife or, preferably, a hacksaw to cut the cork in half, slices, or designs.
