Opulent architecture along the Danube, spas and baths from the Ottoman era to the 19th century, and elegant Parisian style boulevards all create a unique atmosphere. Mixed in are the leftovers from the bleak era of Communist occupation, which make for compelling experiences learning about Hungary's history.
