Saturday, September 3011:00 AM—12:00 PMMeeting RoomMain Library28 Arlington Street, Dracut, MA, 01826

Ages:  Kids 8 to 12 AND a caregiver!

60 min. workshop

Ready to make some cute soaps? Join us for a rubber duckie soap-making workshop!

During this event, each participant will make their own soap using glycerin based soap and by adding colors, glitter and scents. The process does not involve traditional soap making techniques, so there is no lye exposure. Once the heated soap has cooled slightly, we will add cosmetic grade glitter, colors, essential oil (optional), choose from a variety of rubber duckies to embed and decorate the tops with white soap curls, creating waves. Participants will take their soap home, which can be removed from the mold the following day and used right away!

SAFETY REQUIREMENTS: Melted soap is hot. This is not a drop-off class. Adult participation is required with each child under the age of 12. - Guardians of participants under 12 must sign a “safety concern” form prior to all SOAP MAKING workshops. - No one under the age of 8 will be allowed to be present in the room during the soap making workshops. - Program starts promptly, no admission is allowed after instructions are given.

No exceptions will be made to these rules.
