We are living in challenging times that can create increased levels of stress, anxiety and worry. Meditation is a tool that can be used to manage our emotions and feelings and allow us to experience inner peace. The Raja Yoga knowledge, shared through this mediation practice, allows us to understand our thinking patterns and use techniques to shift away from deep rooted negative thinking to positive thinking.

Instructor Soni Sayana graduated from RIT, Rochester, NY with a BS in Electrical Engineering and got her Masters in Engineering from Cornell University. She had a 17 year career at Fidelity Investments in Boston and was a VP of Global Network Engineering. She left Fidelity in 2013 and decided to focus on home life with the family.

In her ‘retired’ life she pursues her passion in the field of Mindfulness, focusing on Meditation. She has been a student of Raja Yoga Meditation since 2011 and shares her practical implementation of meditation practices for a daily experience of a peaceful and happy life. Pre-COVID, she held meditation sessions in senior centers, as well as in a women’s State Prison in Framingham, MA. She is also part of Shine Bright Workshops team which focuses on mindfulness classes in elementary and middle schools.

Soni is a mother of two HS teenage boys at Westwood High and they keep life very entertaining, so she has unlimited opportunities to practice her meditation skills to remain peaceful and happy!
