Open Space Blue Moon Hike - Tranquility Trail

Wednesday, August 308:30—10:00 PMOutdoorsMain Library28 Arlington Street, Dracut, MA, 01826

Explore local open spaces by joining a guided tour with a member of the OpenSpace Committee! We'll have several different hikes for teens and adults of all abilities throughout the summer and fall. This eighth hike will be a special Blue Moon hike at Tranquility Trail; please note the change in time and duration! **We will meet at the trailhead on 113/Broadway Road in the Dracut Land Trust lot.** We will leave the trailhead by 8:35pm so please consider arriving early. We also recommend taking measures to prevent tick bites, such as wearing long pants and light-colored clothing, and maybe using bug spray or other repellant. Please bring a flashlight for this hike!

Tranquility Trail and Extension (owned by Dracut Land Trust) is about ½ mile through the woods adjacent to the hay fields of the Ogonowski Memorial Preservation Farmland. It runs by two vernal pools and the historic ruins of a sheep pen and well. There are benches and an amazing view from the top across the farmland and toward Boston.

Registration is recommended so we can notify you of any change in plans.

Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Offered in partnership with the Open Space Committee.
