Explore local open spaces by joining a guided tour with a member of the OpenSpace Committee! We'll have several different hikes for teens and adults of all abilities throughout the summer and fall. Our sixth hike will be at Long Pond conservation area with parking at Hillside. **We will meet at the trailhead at Long Drive.** We will leave the trailhead by 6:05pm so please consider arriving early. We also recommend taking measures to prevent tick bites, such as wearing long pants and light-colored clothing, and maybe using bug spray or other repellant.

These two short trails combine for a distance of only 1/3 of a mile with access to a small beach area and a kayak launch on the outflow stream. The entire parcel includes several hundred feet of lakeshore, extensive wetlands and opportunities for bird watching.
