Meditation with Living My Dream Yoga

This series of in person meditation classes will run for 8 weeks. 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24, 5/1, 5/22, 5/29. Please register for individual class sessions.

Some of the styles of concentrative meditation practice that we may explore will include BRFWA (breathe, relax, feel, watch and allow), Autogenics Relaxation, Mantra Meditation (repetition of a specific phrase), Mudra Meditation (a particular shape of hands, fingers, arms), Metta (Loving Kindness) Meditation, and Breath awareness. Class will begin with a warm welcome, a settling-in practice with breath work, followed by a few gentle stretches before settling into a comfortable seat (or in a lying down position if a yoga mat is brought). Next will be a guided meditation followed by 8-10 minutes of stillness / silence. The class will end with an integration practice that may include poetry reading, silent journaling and sharing experience with the group. Registrants are encouraged to bring their own yoga mat, beach towel, blanket, or cushion to sit/lay on and a journal and pen.
