About Josh Misner

Dr. Josh Misner is an award-winning communication professor, author, mindfulness researcher, and avid profanity aficionado who missed the bus to adulthood somewhere around his mid-20s and continues to resist maturation while living in the inland Pacific Northwest with his undeservedly tolerant spouse and their brood of children and fur-bearing animals.

A professor of communication, alumnus of Gonzaga University, and TEDx survivor, has been featured in a variety of publications, including The Huffington Post, Time, and The Good Men Project. While authoring books on a variety of topics, from public speaking to parenting, his passion resides in teaching the importance of mindful presence as a means of achieving balance and cultivating longer-lasting, more meaningful relationships.
